Reportaje - UwU Convention 2022

Produced during my time as a reporter, this piece covers the annual Uwukon convention held at Bellven Park in Mesa, Arizona. The video highlights the vibrant atmosphere of the three-day event, which celebrates anime and K-pop culture.

The convention offers a range of activities, including food stalls, a pop-up market, and video game stations, while attendees showcase their creativity through elaborate cosplay. The event also provides artists, cosplayers, and local vendors a platform to promote their work and connect with the community.

Throughout the piece, the focus is on the inclusivity and welcoming nature of Uwukon, offering a space where everyone, regardless of background, can come together and celebrate their shared interests.

This project showcases my skills in storytelling, video production, and interviewing. I demonstrated my ability to capture the essence of an event, highlighting key moments and emphasizing the unique aspects that make it special.

My use of visual composition, such as framing the cosplayers and vendors, and the strategic incorporation of music and narration, ensures the video remains engaging.

The interview segments also highlight my skill in guiding conversations, drawing out meaningful insights from attendees and vendors.

Additionally, the project allowed me to refine my editing skills, as I pieced together footage in a way that flows smoothly and keeps the viewer immersed in the convention's atmosphere.
